Sunset Stripes

(Probably the best photo I'm gonna get, sadly. If any professional photographers wanna be on call to get pictures of my work any time I finish, that'd be great. I'll pay you in coffee and cake.)

Portrait of the lovely Mermaid Suicide; the original photoset had such incredible, gorgeous lighting I couldn't resist. Experimented with a crazy-bright hot pink for the underpainting and it was a really fun challenge to work with how it affected the layers of paint on top; it gives the original such a lovely warm depth that the photo is terrible at catching. Fun fun.

I'll be taking a break from these little oil portraits for a bit - I just have too many other things to focus on. Still have a few scraps of plywood left to fill though so I'm not done forever yet!
